If your plant has started growing, the mold will not hurt it! Also, the mold will not impact the quality of the crop and its edibility. It should disappear gradually.
On the other hand, if the mold develops strongly before the seed has been able to germinate, it may prevent it from growing properly.
How do you get rid of it?
Tea tree oil: Simply dilute one teaspoon of tea tree oil in a glass of water. Spray this potion on the mold, and leave it on for a few days. Be careful not to overdose the tea tree oil; it is a very powerful essential oil, and putting too much on would kill the plant! If necessary, repeat the treatment after a week.
You can also notice a kind of crystallization at the level of the plant pods. Don't worry, this is not mold, but a natural reaction that happens when the nutrients come into contact with water that contains too much calcium. If you don't like their presence, we advise you to lightly scrape off the small crystals in order to gently remove them.
